Eric G. Jackson, DDS, MAGD, FICOI, FADI

Eric JacksonDr. Eric Jackson is co-owner of our office along with Dr. Wascher.  Raised in Oak Brook, IL he attended Hinsdale Central High School and was a member of the tennis team, as well as the basketball team that made the Illinois IHSA State Tournament two years in a row. After graduating high school, he completed his undergraduate training at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his dental training at The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Dr. Jackson was awarded The American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Award in his final year of dental school.

Dr. Jackson is a firm believer in the importance of lifelong learning.  He takes numerous continuing education courses annually to further his skill and has amassed over 1200 hours of continuing education.  In 2010, Dr. Jackson was one of only three Illinois dentists awarded Fellowship in The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) at the organization's national meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.  In 2012, Dr. Jackson progressed further within the AGD and was awarded Mastership in the organization.  He was one of only 97 dentists worldwide to receive this honor at the national meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Less than 1% of all dentists in history have achieved Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry.  For more information about the AGD Fellowship and Mastership awards, please click HERE.

Dr. Jackson has a passion for dental implants and dental implant surgery. He has surgically placed over 1600 dental implants and restored many more. His surgical skill extends beyond implants to include bone and sinus grafting as well as many minor periodontal surgical procedures.  In 2011, Dr. Jackson was awarded Fellowship in The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) for his skills and accomplishments in the categories of implant surgery as well as implant restoration.  That same year, Dr. Jackson was also awarded Fellowship in The Academy of Dentistry International (ADI).  The ADI is a dental honorary society and Dr. Jackson was honored to be one of only 27 inductees from the United States granted Fellowship in 2011.  In addition to implant and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Jackson is trained in Invisalign orthodontic therapy and was named a "Preferred Provider" in both 2010 & 2011 by the Invisalign corporation.  He has training with multiple snoring & sleep apnea dental appliances, and in 2010 became a certified graduate of The International Center for Laser Education for diode laser dentistry and dental surgery.

Dr. Jackson has served on The Chicago Component of the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry (CAGD) Board of Directors since 2010.  This honor has allowed Dr. Jackson to further the profession of dentistry on local, statewide, and national levels.  In 2011 he was elected to the CAGD Executive Board of Directors and will serve as the president of the organization in 2015.  In 2013 Dr. Jackson was named to the Membership Committee of The Chicago Dental Society (CDS).  Members of this committee recruit and retain members for the organization.  This is done by attempting to identify needs and concerns of dentists and offer recommendations to respond to those needs or existing concerns.  The committee is responsible for The CDS Mentorship Program, and to review and offer recommendation to the Board regarding appropriate CDS endorsed program opportunities.  Also in 2013, Dr. Jackson was honored to be named the official team dentist for The Chicago Bandits women's professional fastpitch softball team.  He is thrilled to be affiliated with this great organization and has been a fan of the team since their 2004 inception.

Dr. Jackson currently serves as a manuscript editor for General Dentistry magazine, a national publication of the Academy of General Dentistry.  He has been named as one of "America's Top Dentists" by the Consumer Research Council of America for both 2007 and 2010.  In 2011 he was inducted into The International Association of Dentists and listed in 2011 edition of The Leading Physicians of the World.  On multiple occasions, Dr. Jackson has lectured to other dental professionals at various Chicagoland dental study clubs as well as non-dental professionals via local community groups.  He is always interested in new speaking venues and opportunities.  If you would like Dr. Jackson to speak for your organization, please feel free to contact him at our office.

Dr. Jackson is actively committed to providing quality dental care to patients of all income levels and medical conditions. He has provided free dental services at The Robert R. McCormick Boys & Girls Club pediatric dental clinic and The Heartland Center for Oral Health (formerly known as The Spang Center for Oral Health) both located in Uptown Chicago.  Until its closing in mid-2011, he routinely volunteered at The DuPage Community Clinic (DCC) in Wheaton, IL providing free dental care to low income, medically uninsured residents of DuPage County. It was a wonderful organization that served the residents of DuPage County for over 16 years. The Chicago Dental Society Foundation took up the charge and in early 2013, opened The CDS Foundation Dental Clinic to fill the void left by the DCC.  Patients who qualify can receive free basic dental care at the clinic in the same manner as the DCC.  Dr. Jackson began volunteering his dental services immediately and is donates his time regularly to this fantastic clinic.  For additional information please click HERE.  Dr. Jackson is also active with The DuPage County Health Department & The Walk-In Ministry of Hope offering greatly reduced fee dental work out of our office.  He also volunteers his time and provides free dental services at the ISDS Mission of Mercy as well as the ISDS Give Kids a Smile Day.  Working with each of these organizations and events has been deeply satisfying and he is always looking for new ways to give back to those in need in and around DuPage County.
